McConkey's Ferry
McConkey's Ferry Inn, served as a guard's post during December of 1776, keeping watch over the ferry landing. According to legend, General Washington dined here on Christmas day, prior to being rowed across to New Jersey for the fateful march to Trenton.

Bowman's Hill Tower - Bowman's Hill Tower was built 1931 as a commemorative monument to George Washington and his army, and what may have been used as a lookout point. The Tower is 125 feet tall. On a clear day, one is able to view a 14 mile radius of the Delaware River Valley.

The Pearl S. Buck House - Pulitzer prize winner, Pearl S. Buck was the first American woman to win the Nobel Prize in literature for her writings about peasant life in China. Mercer Museum - A concrete poured castle with themed rooms winding up the castle stairs, each with it's has dramatic display of tools, folk art and articles used in everyday life in early America, before mechanization. There are more than 40,000 items collected by Henry Mercer, which are packed floor to ceiling. Many of these items hang from the ceiling of the four-story central court, including a Conestoga wagon, whaling boat and antique fire engine. You will definitely be awed! www.mercermuseum.org
Fonthill Castle - a concrete castle built by Henery Mercer between 1908 and 1912, with over 44 rooms, 18 fireplaces and more than 200 windows. The interior walls, floors, ceilings, and fireplaces are adorned with an array of original handcrafted tiles.
Moravian Tile Works - is a reflection of Spanish influence on mission architecture. Enjoy a self guided tour and other programs offered in this living history museum, as you witness the making of reproductions of Mercer's original line of tiles. A leader of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century, Mercer produced tiles for the floor of the rotunda and halls of the Pennsylvania State Capitol, which depicts 400 scenes in the Pennsylvania Commonwealth's history. His beautiful tiles also adorn buildings throughout the United States and the world.
